Class of 1964

The class of 1964....like so many other graduating classes, we were ready to show everyone our worth. I worked for three year; listening to my dad continuously telling me about the importance of a college education. I finally applied the University of Toledo; hoping that aletter of either way would end the lectures. I was excepted; and so the venture began. This was a discovery of self' in so many ways. I was a walk on for the cross counter and track & field teams. I earned a partial scholarship and three varsity letters. I graduated with a major in biological sciences and sociology, minor in psychology.
I made the Dean's List and completed my senior year with independent studies in the Honors program. I did my graduate work at Cornell University. I enlisted in the US Army Medical Corp; and became a combat medivac
medic. Ialso attended the Academy of Health Sciences to earn a respiratory Specialist certification. With at Fort Polk Army Hospital, my commander sent me to Fort Sam Houston; to be a part of the US Modern Pentathlon team. In civilian life, I have worked as a cardiopulmonary specialist and paramedic. I am retired; and work as reserve police officer.
