It is with a joyous heart that I, Kathleen Carr, share the colorful journey of my beloved husband, Philip Carr, a man whose life was a testament to the adjectives adventurous, compassionate, generous, and loyalty . Philip, born on February 9, 1949 in New York, NY, and passing on March 18, 2026. For the past 14 years, we made memories in the charming town of Buckley, Washington, but moved to Washington in 1979 where Philip's adventurous spirit and zest for life touched many.
A born adventurer, Philip's journey took him from surfing the waves of California to skiing the snowy slopes of the western United States. His love for the outdoors was only matched by his love for people. He was a compassionate soul, always eager to meet everyone at any gathering. He and I have co-owned a travel agency for 30 years in Enumclaw WA. His loyalty to his passions was unwavering, whether it was square dancing with me in our early days, scuba diving in the Pacific and the Caribbean, Mexico and Hawaii, or tracing his roots in Greece and visiting his family there.
Philip was a man of many talents. He was a journey wireman electrician by trade, a proud member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers for over 40 years. He was a behind-the-scenes hero in our travel agency, making sure everything ran smoothly. His life was a fascinating journey filled with love, laughter, and a boundless spirit of adventure. Above all, he treasured our 50 years together, a testament to his loyalty and the love we shared.
Philip leaves behind beautiful memories to be cherished by myself, his sister Elaine Fleisher, and our niece Alexis Guzzard and her family. His cousin Michael and his wife Donna are a important part of his life. He now joins his parents, James and Anastasia Carr, in the next phase of his journey.
Philip's journey may have come to an end, but his spirit lives on in the countless lives he touched. We encourage you to share your memories, stories, and photos on the memorial page, as a testament to a life lived fully and passionately. Celebrate Philip, for he was a man who truly knew how to live.
