Richard Finkelstein Obituary
Richard (Rick) Finkelstein Resident of Fresno, California Rick passed away on Friday, January 23, 2015 at the age of 58. Richard was born December 30, 1956 in Buffalo, NY. He is the son of Jacqueline and the late Sidney Finkelstein. Rick graduated Northrup University, Los Angeles, California. He had a long career teaching at Castlemont High School as head of their Aviation Academy, and Fremont High School where he taught electronics, both in Oakland, California. His greatest accomplishment and enjoyment was joining the Civil Air Patrol, Fresno Unit, and achieved the rank of Major and Wing Commander within the organization. Rick is survived by his long-time loving partner, Jill Greenburg, his beloved mother, Jackie Finkelstein, his sister, Randi Adler, his son, Sean Finkelstein, his daughter, Robin Gaputan, and his adoring grandson, Jaxson Gaputan. He is predeceased by his beloved father, Sidney Finkelstein. Funeral Services and interment will be held Tuesday, January 27, @ 2:00 pm @ Oakmont Cemetery-Lafayette, CA. Arrangements By Sinai Memorial Chapel-Lafayette, CA.

My brother was the funniest person I ever met. He was very involved with the Civil air patrol in Fresno California. He was a type one diabetic from the age of 12 had his first heart attack at 42 was up for a heart transplant, but they would not give it to him because of his Health problems
