About SNEDEKER, DAVID JAMES Born May 19, 1951 in Jackson, went home to be with the Lord Friday, May 24, 2013 at the age of 62, after a courageous battle with metastatic melanoma under the loving care of his family and Allegiance Hospice. David was the son of Gene Snedeker and Nancy Corbett. He is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Renee (Terrian) Snedeker; three children, Lisa (Leon) Lambert, Julie (Vincent) Bowie, and Melissa (Chris) Lacinski; five grandchildren, Lila, Kaden, Cameron, Meris, CJ; mother; brother, James (Kim) Snedeker and their children, Lindsay, Robert and Jennifer; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. David was preceded in death by his father; infant brother, Steven; and infant sister, Sally Ann; step-father, Jerry Corbett. David graduated from Vandercook Lake High School in 1969; Michigan State University in 1973 with a Bachelor's Degree in Zoology. He retired in July 2012 as a Senior Environmental Planner from Consumers Energy after 39 years of service. He enjoyed hunting, golfing, playing softball, movies, being outdoors, Bob Evans, riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle, and spending time with his family. David overcame many health challenges as the result of Type 1 diabetes. He had a great sense of humor, and was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, son and friend to many and will be sadly missed by all who knew him. According to his wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of his life will be held at Brooklyn Presbyterian Church, 160 N. Main, Brooklyn, MI Thursday, May 30 at 11:00 A.M.
