Graduation Year Class of 1966
Date of Passing Jun 11, 2018
About Randle Lee Riddle, 70, went to be with his Lord on June 11, 2018 at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, MI. “Randy” was born on March 7, 1948 in Hopkinsville, KY to Lendon and Norma (Lee) Riddle. In 1955 the family moved to Jackson where he attended Vandercook Lake High School.

On July 1, 1967, Randy married his best friend and soul mate, Patricia Swaenepoel. Randy was a loving father to eight children. Through most of his adult life he worked two jobs to support his family. He worked at EATON (Aeroquip) for 37 years and ran his own roofing company for over 35 years. Even after a bout with cancer and retiring he kept busy with jobs at Orbitform and American Backyard. In his free time, he liked to take road trips, take his grandkids fishing, attend their school events, and just spend time with his family making memories. Most recently he found great pleasure in having his morning coffee with his group of retired buddies. He also regularly attended Jackson Free Methodist Church.

Randy is survived by his loving wife Pat; his children, Michelle (Jim) Hillock, Katrina Crittenden, Randle C. (Jenny) Riddle, Amanda Riddle, Anthony Riddle (Sarah Babcock), William Riddle, Tina (Andrew) Carr and Fred Riddle (Kelsey Wilson); thirty grandchildren; and six great grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings, Brenda Jones, Terry (Jan) Riddle, Susan (Russ) Pollock; in-laws, Martha Dotson, Sharon Swaenepoel, Elton Swaenepoel, Rosemary Edington, Leo (Jane) Swaenepoel, Dale (Robyn) Swaenepoel and Wanda Riddle; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews and dear friends.

He was preceded in passing by his parents; his brother, John Riddle; his father and mother-in-law, Charles and Harriette Swaenepoel; brothers-in-law, Robert Swaenepoel, Albert Swaenepoel, Willard Johnson, Roger Jones; sister-in-law, Debra Swaenepoel and special son-in-law, Kent Foreman.

Randy left us 52 years and one day after our class of 1966 graduated. Many of us had a chance to catch up with Randy and get to know him a little better at our 50th reunion in 2016. I know I was much better for it. He was interesting and talented having become a poet in his adult years. May he rest in peace and rise in glory.
