Lester Eugene Parker attended Urbana High School in Urbana, OH.

Lester E. Parker, 20, 140 Clay Street, Urbana, was killed in action in Qaung Tri Province, South Vietnam, June 30, 1970.
He entered the service on June 4, 1969 and was a member of the 187th Infantry, 101st Airborne Division. He left for Vietnam on March 1, 1970.
He married the former Kathy Johnson on May 30, 1969. She now resides with her parents, Mr. an Mrs. James Johnson in Urbana.
He was a 1968 graduate of Urbana High School and worked at the St. Regis Marketing Center in Urbana.
Besides his wife he is survived by his mother, Florence, brothers William James, David, Richard and Melvin, all of Urbana, sisters, Mrs. Edward (Dorothy) Davey, West Liberty; Mrs. Robert (Virginia) Lawton, Crawfordsville, Indiana; Mrs. Michael (Katherine) Colwell and Mrs. James (Sue) Bump, both of Urbana.
Funeral services will be held July 14 at 2 p.m. at the North Side Church of God with the Rev. Earl McCall officiating.
