Penny’s Book Club September 14, 2007 Dear Penny's Book Club Friends: Thank you to those of you who responded to my original email with details of "Penny's Book Club: Women Connecting Women & Friends Connecting Friends." I am delighted to those of you who want to join free book club. This is going to be SO MUCH FUN!!! It was easier for me to reply all to the email requests I sent out to over 63 true friends and dynamic women in my life. I have heard back from a few of you stating you don't have the time to be a part of the book club. I will remove your email address in October and I will be creating a "Penny's book Club" spreadsheet with women's names, state, and email addresses. Penny passed away on Monday, September 10, 2007 at 10:15 a.m. and I know she is smiling down on me at this very moment knowing that her life had great meaning and her memory will live on forever in all of our hearts. This book club is a wonderful legacy to honor my dear friend and brings me great joy and peace in my broken heart. Penny will be reading along side each one of us as we go through the seasons of our lives connecting through this book club. October 15th would have been Penny's 54th birthday and we always celebrated our birthdays together at a local teahouse. So I can't think of a better month then October to get this Book Club started. Please don't wait until your friend, loved one, etc. is dying to tell them how much you love and cherish them. Live each day as if it were your last and make every day count! Penny and I left no words unsaid (as we would talk until 3:00 a.m. in parking lots and apartments, line dancing at In Kahoots, in my apartment, at the beach, etc.) or any emotions unexpressed throughout the blessed 8 years that I knew Penny. Age was but a number between Penny and I and she will live on through each of us. I told her last year that I needed more people in Heaven rooting for me...and I didn't mean her.
