I went through Basic and Ait at Fort Benning Georgia. Then I was off To Fort Lewis Washington my firrst duty station, I arrived there acouple of month's after Mt .St Helen's erupted so my first couple of month's was a lot of clean up detail. Then i was off to Aschaffenburg,Germany home of the Third Infintry Division Cottonbaler's the oldest Infintry Unit in the United States Army.I met so many good people over there, I really loved the place. Good food, Beer and oh the frauliien. I traveled all over europe while I was there I want to go back really bad, like I said I loved it. Then it was off to Fort Carson Colorado home of the Fourth Infintry Div. This is where I met my wife of 24 year's I should of stayed in Germany No just kidding she 's a great lady she is originally from Panama. Anyway my experiance in the service was very enlightening like I said i met some wonderful people that to this day I would stand up and fight for in a blink of an eye I am trying to organize a reunion myself with all my old army buddie's we are shooting for next spring or early summer. Some of the best times of my life was spent in those four year's of service time. .

Enlisted in the Air Force on June 27th,1960..Attended Basic Training at Lackland AFB,San Antonio,Tx. Atttended Electronics School at Amarillo AFB,Amarillo,TX.
My first duty assignment late January,1961 was Griffiss AFB,Rome,NY. I was assingned to the 4039SW later to become the 416th BW(H) in the Missle Squadron. While at Griffiss I met and married my wife Lynn,if we make it to 2013 it will be 50 years.
From Griffiss AFB,I was sent to my back yard at Wright-Patterson AFB,Dayton,Oh. There my Air Force career ended on July 17th,1967.

Honorably Discharged...
