| About Me | I worked as a Secretary at Glasgow, Inc. in Glenside. I left there in 1967 when I married a career soldier and moved to Okinawa. My first two daughters were born there. We moved to Brooklyn, NY in the fall of 1969, where my third daughter was born. When my husband retired in 1974, we settled in Warrington, PA. In 1989 we moved into my childhood home in North Willow Grove. My husband died in 2002, but I stayed there while I was working. I moved to South Carolina in 2010. In 1975 I went back to work as a Receptionist for a real estate firm for a short time. After that, I worked as a Publication Factotum (preparing reports and manuals) for the Environmental Division of Asplundh Tree Expert Co. (which later became Environmental Consultants, Inc.) After 20 years there, I changed jobs and worked as an Administrative Assistant for Pension and Estate Planners. I was there nearly 9 years, until I retired in 2007 and moved to Plumsteadville with my middle daughter. From 1980 to 2000 I was also in the U.S. Army Reserve. I started out in Avionics Communication Equipment Repair (fixing radios in helicopters). I was also an Aircraft Electrician, Administrative Specialist, and Motor Transport Operator Instructor. I retired as a Sergeant First Class. I spent some of my training time at McGuire Air Force Base, and learned to fly at the Flight Club there. I obtained a pilot's license for single engine land craft in 1986. In 1987 I took lessons at the Philadelphia Seaplane Base and got my rating for that in 1997. I moved to Sun City in Bluffton, SC (near Hilton Head) in 2010.
