Army Reserves, 15 Years

I joined the US Army Medical Reservists as a commissioned officer in the mid 80’s shortly after I obtained my Registered Nursing License. My unit-Fort Douglas 328th General Hospital was located in Salt Lake City, Utah. Officer’s Basic was completed in San Antonio, Texas. I was briefly activated December 1990, ending up in Berlin, Germany, this is where I was stationed during Desert Storm. I was retired August 31, 2000 with the rank of Captain. I was unable to be promoted to Major-being passed over, due to some misconception of whether or not I held a Bachelor’s Degree. It It was apparent there was some sort of mistake-lost paperwork, missing file, whatever the case I could not prove my degree standing. The funny part about this is the Army had indeed had paid for my Bachelor’s Degree-which I graduated from in 1995.
