Born Apr 01, 1949, Dr. Raymond D. Ellis attended Tottenville High School in Staten Island, NY.

Ray passed away at home with hospice support in Kissimmee, Florida from cardiac amlyoidosis and congestive heart failure complications. He died with his beloved wife of 41 years, Eileen, by his side. He joins his parents and son Matthew in Heaven. His loving legacy lives on in his daughters Amanda Mathews, Sarah McKee and Lauren Lorusso, their respective spouses, Shawn, Nick and Dominick and grandchildren Ben, Mary, Aiden, Ryan and Alyssa.
In addition to his favorite roles as husband, father and “Pop”, Ray (#15) was a life long educator, coach, educational leader, mentor, athlete, Yankee fan and loyal friend. “Everyone loved Raymond”, his sense of humor, integrity and passion for life and his devotion to Eileen.
A Memorial Service was held on 9/27/25 at Point Pleasant Beach HS in New Jersey. It can be viewed on UTube under- Remembering Ray: A Life Well Played. He lived well, loved well and burned his candle down all the way to the end. He will always be with us in spirit…..
