I was crazy for her. Writing a paper on how to grow cannabis In Skip Harry's social studies class (I think he thought I was going to write about hemp's industrial uses throughout history). | About Me | Spring of 1979 moved to El Dorado County, Uncle Tom’s Cabin, Sutter’s Mill (1849 Gold Rush), Wagon Train, Bonanza film set, The Virginian (Doug McClure and teenage Barbara Hershey) film set and Ghost Town with Bar and Grill, Tahoe glass bottom/paddle boat cruise, award winning wineries, Apple Hill, Bonsai and Iris Gardens Summer of 1979, Berklee School of Music, Boston 1980 Freshman Lead Trumpet in American River College's Symphonic and Stage Bands 1981 A.R.C. baseball, broke back first week cliff diving 1982 North Texas State (Denton, Texas), home of the most Miss America Contestants, where the girl to guy ratio is 6:1 because of Texas Women's University 1984/5 Harvey's Lake Tahoe, Security, interesting job! 1988, thirty day, eighteen hundred mile bicycle tour from Nevada City, California to Victoria, Canada with ten group home boys (nightly checking the jails, hospitals, bus stations, bars, motels...for the boys). 1988 Massage Therapist (injured hand) 1989 Juvenile Hall Officer, volunteer alcohol and drug counselor (ironic?), Ponderado Alternative Education. 1990 & 1991 Sierra College Cross Country District Champions 1993 Colorado Springs 7-11 Bicycle Velodrome 1995 U.S. Army (66 days), long but interesting story! 2002 Respiratory Therapist (Smoking Cessation, ironic?, whistle blower, my boss had a pistol in the hospital, out of work since, and I have tried everything I can think of, dozens of different types of jobs, hundreds of applications) I live in a one bedroom cabin on my parents property. My mom's husband, John Funk (yes, you read that right), has spent the last 22 years customizing their acre, with 5,000 sq. feet of vegetable and fruit garden and hot house, numerous visible and nonvisible sitting areas, 150 colors of Iris (not this year, he is thinning them out for their health), roses, tulips,... many exotic fruit trees, 25 foot Dogwood that blooms covered with white flowers, dozens of towering pines, elms, birch..., Mid-term goal is to write, direct, produce, publish and market a booklet/C.D./D.V.D. in multiple languages about the medical facts of smoking, which the tobacco industry has done a good job suppressing. Ironically most smoking cessation programs do not include medical facts. My long term goals; 1. Starting 15 years ago, finish my autobiography. 2. After a twenty eight year adjournment from music, go back to school (for the umpteenth time). 3. Open a detox center. We have nearly 200,000 residents, and have to leave the county for it. Family and friends may not be able to visit for moral support. 4. Move back to the ocean. Mountainside Center for Spiritual Living, Placerville, Ca.
