Todd Easterling

Todd Easterling

Class of 1981

Todd Easterling graduated from Torrey Pines High School in 1981. While attending Torrey Pines, Todd lived in Rancho Santa Fe.

Todd is now a novelist, originally discovered by the Jay Garon-Brooke Agency in New York, of John Grisham fame. He and his family also own real estate brokerages in the North County area. Todd was previously in the satellite and cable television industry, and has worked with companies such as HBO, Disney, Time Warner, and various media and wireless technology start-ups in strategic marketing, public relations, and corporate development in both vice president and consulting capacities.

Todd’s first best-selling novel, The First Witness, appeared on the Best Sellers in International Mystery & Crime list and Best Sellers in Political Mysteries and Thrillers list. He is currently in final editing of his next book, The Miracle Man, which is along the romance-adventure story line of The Horse Whisperer by Nicolas Evans and which includes current topics such as cloning and genetic engineering. Todd is also working on a genetics/cloning thriller, which has been referred to as the next step in continuing the brilliant Michael Crichton's legacy of West World and Jurassic Park. Over a period of many years, Todd has conducted research and obtained technical advice from the esteemed Dr. Ian Wilmut (first to clone an animal, Dolly the sheep) and Dr. Raul Cano, whose techniques formed the foundation of Jurassic Park (extraction of DNA from ancient tree amber).

Todd still resides in the San Diego area with his family and Russian Wolfhound, Bentley. He has three girls and is an avid advocate of international adoption. Todd encourages alumni and reader emails via his website www.ToddEasterling.com .
