JoAnn Hegedus, passed away in Williamston, Michigan, after a long battle with breast cancer.
She is survived by her husband, Edward Noonan of Williamston, her daughter, Kerry Noonan of Cleveland, and her sister, Jennifer Hegedus of Chicago (Thurston class of 1968).
A graduate of Michigan State University with a BA in History, and Wayne State University with a Masters Degree in Library and Information Science, JoAnn worked for more than 40 years in libraries, including Michigan State University; Fairbanks North Star Borough (Alaska); the Library of Michigan; and served the last 18 years as Head Williamston Librarian.
A Master Gardener who volunteered at the MSU perennial gardens, JoAnn could often be seen gardening around her family's Williamston home.
