About Me	Community Cochair, Philadelphia Jobs with Justice; Recording Secretary Philadelphia Coalition of Labor Union Women; Board member of thePhiladelphia Federation of Teachers Retirees Chapter Member, American Public Health Association. I love living in the city. I grew up in a small town and have some nostalgia for it, but there is nothing lke the city for lots of interesting things to do. Now that the kids are grown and on their own, we have the time and can afford to do a lot more. I have two children, David is a museum designer/curator/historian with a Bachelor's in Architecture and a Master's in Industrial Archaeology. Laura teaches7th-grade science, she has a bachelor's in History and a Master's in Education they are my proudest accomplishment. I retired from my full-time job as a school nurse for the School District of Philadelphia. I now substitute occasionally. My husband is still working as an engineer. I believe it is really important to stay active in one's community, and work for the betterment of all. I keep my senators' and representatives' phone numbers at hand. I don't hesi...(read more)
