Doug died due to complications from a brain tumor he likely acquired as a result of working at Rocky Flats. Despite the challenges and debilitations he faced every day due to the damage the brain tumor and a series of surgeries did to his body, he never complained about it. Instead, he and his father, Cliff DelForge, who was also a former worker at Rocky Flats, focused on fighting for their rights and those of other Rocky Flats workers who suffered the debilitating affects of contact with radioactive materials. He maintained his dry humor to the very end...We truly miss him.
