| About Me | I graduated from Hope College in 1966, and then moved to San Diego, California while my husband, Bob, fulfilled his military commitment in the US Navy. We lived on Coronado Island, and I think I had a much better time than he did! He was on the aircraft carrier Constellation for 3 years. We then moved back to Holland, MI where he completed his degree. He owned his own heating and air conditioning company, and I was a stay at home mom until our two daughters, Kristin and Erin, were in school full time. Then I began working part time for several doctors and lawyers (I could always type!) and just went from there. I was a Series 7financial planner for several years and was then offered a job in the finance area at Hope College. I have been here now for nearly 17 years. My husband retired a year ago this July, and has become my "staff"! It works really well. He's very efficient. He also has severe RA, and has to be careful what he does. Our oldest, Kristin, is awaiting results of the Michigan Bar Exam and lives in Detroit with her husband and two dogs. Erin also works at Hope College managing the campus safety area. She has given us our little granddaughter, Fallon, who is the light of our lives, and keeps everyone busy. I'm hoping to retire in a few years so we can spend more time at our home in Florida.
