About	Rand was a graduate of Lincoln Elementary in Dolton and a 1958 confirmand of the Immanuel Reformed United Church of Christ. At Thornridge, he was President of the German Club, and participated in the Mixed Chorus, the band,the Boys Club, and the Social Science Club.
