About	Grace Mae Hawley (1957 - 2012) Grace Mae Hawley Our dearly loved Grace died April 9, 2012. Grace was born in Council Bluffs, IA May 18, 1957. She attended Thomas Jefferson High School in Council Bluffs where she participated in several sports, was Cheerleading Captain, active in the school newspaper, Homecoming Queen and graduated in 1975. Grace lived in Arizona for 28 years and graduated cum laude from Arizona State University in 1997. After graduation, she had a successful professional career at Intel. Grace loved spending time with family and friends, was a wonderful listener, and loved to provide a home environment where all could enjoy each other and life. In just a few minutes she made everyone feel comfortable and happy. She had friendly, fun loving zest for life and time spent with her was such a joy. Grace loved Arizona, had a passion for life and thrived on the outdoors. She enjoyed mountain biking, hiking and skiing, and has been seen rowing around Tempe Town Lake in a kayak. She is survived by her husband Dave Altum, son Grant Garrean (life partner Jackie) of Arizona, daughter Emily Garrean (life partner Sean) of Arizona, grandchildren Jordan, Joey and Sean, parents Lloyd and Marianna Hawley of Mesa, AZ, brothers Ralph Hawley of Arizona and Douglas Hawley of Omaha NE, numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Her family and friends will miss her deeply. Memorial service will be Tuesday, April 17, 2012 at 10:00 A.M. Valley of the Sun Mortuary, 10940 E. Chandler Heights Rd, Chandler, AZ. 85248, 480-895-9232.
