About	ROBERT L. CAPEL II CLEAR LAKE - A memorial service for Robert L. Capel II, 52, of Clear Lake, will be held at 4:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 12, at the Opportunity Village in Clear Lake. Mr. Capel died of natural causes Oct. 28 at his home, 1108 Main Ave. He was born in Council Bluffs on Sept. 4, 1947 and graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1966 earning several academic and athletic awards. Following graduation, he attended West Point Military Academy for three and one-half years until he was injured in an automobile accident in 1969 and became disabled. He was a resident of Opportunity Village from 1973 until 1987 when he moved into his own home which he shared with the Van Carrier family. Mr. Capel was a member of St. John Lutheran Church of Council Bluffs and attended Zion Lutheran Church and St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Clear Lake. He will be remembered for the beauty he brought to the lives of others through his faith, compassion and sense of humor. Survivors include stepmother, Karen A. Capel, of Freeport, Ill.; half-sisters, Kristen Capel-Coyle, of Dubuque and Kimberly Capel, of New Hope, Minn.; special family members, Van and Christine Carrier and their children, Herschel, Charles, Augusta and Theresia, of Clear Lake. He was preceded in death by his mother, Delores Geiwitz Capel in 1966; and his father, Robert L. Capel I in 1995. Interment was at Memorial Park Cemetery in Council Bluffs.
