About Pedro Anton Hunt was born January 2, 1951 to parents, Earnest R. Hunt and Margery Ross Hunt in Council Bluffs, Iowa. Pedro was the sixth of 13 children born to this union. He shared much of his time with his brothers, Serge, Joseph, Robert, Thomas, Ricardo, Anthony, Carlos, and his sisters: Ernest, Roberta, Judith, Mary, and June. His brothers and sisters remember Pedro as being a child that loved to build things and take them apart, always full of energy. They lovingly nicknamed him, "Bo Jack."

As a child, Pedro attended Beulah Baptist Church of Council Bluffs, Iowa, where he was baptized. He enjoyed being in church around his family and friends.

While attending high school, Pedro received many awards as a star wrestler at Thomas Jefferson High School in Council Bluffs, Iowa. Pedro was known as the "Panther." He graduated from Thomas Jefferson in 1970. Shortly after graduation, he enrolled at the Graceland University of Lamoni, Iowa. After some time in college, he decided to enlist in the Marine Corps, serving the country during the Vietnam Era. After suffering injury in the service, in 1972, Pedro was honorably discharged. He returned home to his family and later moved to Denver, Colorado.

In his free time, he enjoyed working on cars, listening to his radio, and being out-doors fishing. Pedro loved to buy scratch off lottery tickets.

Pedro was an outstanding Father to two beautiful daughters, Nikki and Makinya. They remember him as a beautiful person to his family and friends. He also enjoyed spending time with his six grandchildren. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Pedro was preceded in death by his parents, Earnest R. and Margery Hunt; one brother, Carlos Williams; one sister Mary Carmona; and his grandparents, Thomas and Betsy Ross.

Pedro Anton Hunt was called home to be with the Lord on February 2, 2014, in Denver, Colorado. He leaves to cherish his memory and to mourn his loss, two daughters, Nikki R. Williams, Long Beach, CA, and Makinya K. Hunt, Aurora, CO; six brothers, Joseph (Jeanna) Brown, Robert (Dr. Laura) Brown, Thomas (Sonya) Ross, Sr., Ricardo (Dorothy) Hunt, Anthony (Samantha Townsend) Taylor, Serge
(Vivian) Taylor; four sisters, Ernest Tena Hunt, Roberta (Willie) Watson, Judith (Sylvester) Rhodes, June Taylor; three granddaughter, Lanetta Gipson, Reanisha Shannon, Arionna Williams; three grandsons; Anthony Neal, Ronnie Shannon, Arion Williams; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and many friends.
