James Vance "jimmy" Ager attended Thomas Jefferson High School in Council Bluffs, IA.

James Vance "Jimmy" Ager, age 54, passed away suddenly Wednesday, April 17, 2013.
Jimmy was born April 7, 1959, in Council Bluffs, to Robert D. and Margaret A. (McShane) Ager and graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1977. Jimmy worked as a supervisor for the City of Council Bluffs, just celebrating his 35th year on April 1st. He was united in marriage to Mary McDermott on May 23, 2008. We will remember Jimmy as an avid golfer and a person who loved his family and friends and his zest for life. Memberships include Eagles Club #104, Council Bluffs.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Ager in 1967; mother, Margaret Ager January 9, 2012; and brother-in-law, Ernie Foster in 2001.
Jimmy leaves behind his wife, Mary; daughter, Kim Ager (Mim Aparo); grandchildren, Jaxson, Gianna and Audrey Aparo, all of Omaha, Neb.; sister, Mary Foster, of Council Bluffs; three step children, Brooke Jackson, of Chicago, Ill., Andrew McDermott and Karin Jackson, both of Harpers Ferry, W. Va.; nieces and nephews.
Celebration of Jimmy's life will be Sunday, April 21, 2013, at 2 p.m., at the Eagles Club, 1530 Ave F. Come and share stories, fun, laughter in remembering Jimmy. Family will direct memorials.
