About	Donald Jay Jackson, 50, of Council Bluffs died October 1 in Omaha. He was born July 3, 1954 in Omaha to Garrett and A. Lillian Jackson. He formerly worked at Fruehauf in the Bulk Tank Division for 21 years. Don umpired locally for more than 17 years and coached seventh grade girls basketball at St. Albert for 15 years. Mr. Jackson and his wife, Judy (LaChappell), were married 28 years. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors in addition to his wife include; son, Corey, of Council Bluffs; daughters, Nicole Fisher and husband, Kris, of Council Bluffs and Carla Jackson of Omaha; grandchildren, Damian Arent, Dillan and Alexis Fisher; sister, Hilda Hytrek of Council Bluffs; many friends, aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins. Visitation with the family will be tonight from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Cutler-O'Neil Funeral Home. The funeral will be Thursday at 10 a.m. at Ralston United Church of Christ, 7638 Maywood, with the Rev. Rich Rutherford officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Cemetery, with a luncheon to follow at the Eagles Club. Obit. published 10/6/2004 in the Council Bluffs Daily Nonpareil.
