About	Barbara A. Wood, age 70 years of Underwood, Iowa, passed away April 4, 2023 at her home. Barbara was born, December 20, 1952 in Council Bluffs to James D. and Barbara J. (Franks) Newberry. She graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1971. Barbara was united in marriage to husband Don Wood and during her working career, Barbara was a College Professor at Metro Community College and longtime Dance Instructor at Donna Wood Dance Studio and Entenman Studio of Dance in Bellevue, NE. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, James and Barbara Newberry; and her brother, David Newberry. Survivors include husband of 53 years, Don Wood; son, Jim Wood and Shannon Stuart; daughter, Lori Wood; grandchildren, Nikki, Alix (Kaylee) and Madison Wood; great-grandchildren, Hadley and Jax; brother, Mike Newberry and wife Pam; sister, Nancy Gearhart. VISITATION with the family Friday, 5-7pm, at Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Bayliss Park Chapel. Private family graveside services will be held.
