About	Frank Fichter June 21, 1936 — September 14, 2023 Frank Junior Fichter, III Age 87 of Council Bluffs, IA passed away September 14, 2023. He was born on June 21, 1936 in Carson, Iowa to Frank, Jr. and Erma (Keaton) Fichter. He spent most of his childhood and teen years growing up in Council Bluffs, Iowa. He attended Thomas Jefferson High School and worked for Blue Star. The summer of 1957 Frank purchased his first convertible and headed west to California where he met Joyce Elaine Galthney on a blind date October 31, 1957 and it was love at first sight. They were married on February 14,1958 in Downey, California. Frank loved his family, friends, fishing, old cars, old westerns, and horses. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce (2018), daughter, Cathy Freitas; grandson, Christopher Collins; great-granddaughter; brothers, Jim Fichter and John Fichter; sister, Jenny Hiatt; sister-in-law, Ruth Fichter and brother-in-law, Elvin Heiman. He will be missed by his daughters, Becky Fichter and Brenda Turnage (Edwin); sons, Frank Fichter, Jr. (Penelope) and Toney Fichter (Marsha); 14-grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; sister, Betty Gardner-Heiman and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends. A Celebration of Frank's life will be 11:00 AM Saturday, September 23, 2023 at Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home. Inurnment will be in Fairview Pioneer Cemetery
