About	Julia May Brittain, age 87, passed away on June 25, 2023 in Council Bluffs, Iowa. She was born on April 6, 1936 in Bedford, Iowa to the late Harry and Florence (Young) Strubel, and was the youngest of two children. Julia graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1954. She married Harold Brittain and together they raised two sons, Michael and Douglas. Julia worked hard all her life, as a a seamstress, for Charles Schneider for thirty-two years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Brittain; son, Michael Brittain; granddaughter, Heather Brittain; great-grandson, Blaine Brittain; sister, Shirley Doty; and brother-in-law, Jack Doty. Julia is survived by her son and his partner, Douglas Brittain and Ronda Cox; three grandchildren and their partners, Brandy and Andrew Kroon, Jessica Brittain and Karl Hurting, Michael and Lisa Brittain; and six great-grandchildren, Alexis, Leighton, Averie, Hunter, Jack, and Piper. Visitation will be held from 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM at Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home on Thursday, June 29, 2023. Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 PM at Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home on Thursday, June 29, 2023. Burial will be at Cedar Lawn Cemetery. The family will direct memorials.
