About	Nancy Jean (Dreager) Ueckert was born October 13, 1951 in Council Bluffs, Iowa to Harold A. and Doris I. (McNaughton) Dreager. Nancy grew up in Council Bluffs and graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1969. She went on to attend Bahner’s Beauty College in Fremont, Nebraska. Nancy married Ronald Ueckert at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Valley, Nebraska on June 3, 1972 and to this union, three children were born; Heather, Heydon, and Bradley. Nancy and Ron had made their home near Prague, Nebraska. Nancy worked as a hairdresser in Wahoo, Nebraska for a time, and for the last several years has worked at Fargo Assembly in David City, NE, where she was most recently a supervisor. She was also an active member of the VFW Auxiliary. In her free time, Nancy enjoyed gardening, sewing, crocheting, cooking, baking, and shopping. She was a big fan of classic country music, scary movies, and the Kansas City Chiefs. She was always up for dinner at Olive Garden or maybe a prime rib and cheesy potato meal, and could often be heard uttering, “Oh, Lord”. Nancy was a strong, endearing, compassionate, outgoing, and faithful woman. She cherished spending time with her family, and always made sure she was aware of her unconditional love and dedication to all of her family and close friends. She held dear her 50-year marriage to Ron, and the home they made on the farm when they moved there in 1980. Nancy was a fighter and a true warrior through her illness. Nancy passed away on Tuesday, June 21, 2022 at St. Francis Hospital in Grand Island, Nebraska at the age of 70 years, 9 months, and 8 days. She was preceded in death by her parents Harold and Doris Dreager and her sister-in-law Joan Dreager. Nancy is survived by her husband Ron, her children Heather Ueckert & Jeff Selden, Heydon & Jennifer Ueckert, and Brad Ueckert & Jill Dlugosh, grandchildren; Cassidy Vacha, Kayla Hein, and Braylon Ueckert, and siblings Tim Dreager, Susan & Keith Ueckert, and Kevin & Charlene Dreager.
