About	Shawn T. Kohlscheen, age 59, of Glenwood, Iowa, passed away at her home on April 24, 2023. Shawn was born October 3, 1963 in Council Bluffs to Larry W. and Dian (Sydzyik) Wilson. She graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1981. Shawn attended IWCC and earned her bachelor’s degree form Buena Vista University. She married Randy Kohlscheen on December 12, 2012 at East Side Christian Church in Council Bluffs. Shawn was the office manager at RK Fuels. She was preceded in death by her infant brother, Robert W. Wilson and her father, Larry W. Wilson. Shawn is survived by her husband of 10 years, Randy Kohlscheen of Glenwood; daughter, Heather Volenec of Council Bluffs; sons, Nickolas Hitchcock of Long Lane, Missouri, Nathan (Becca) Thomas of Gibbon, Nebraska; grandchildren, Lukas, Matthew, Tegan, Deklan, Nora, Lafe and Cecilia; mother, Dian Wilson of Council Bluffs; brother, Shane (Denise) Wilson of Treynor, Iowa; sister, Faith (Todd) Vietzen of Tolleson, Arizona; stepchildren, Shawn A. Kohlscheen of Council Bluffs, Jacob Kohlscheen of LaGrange, North Carolina, Michele (Justin Jones) Kohlscheen of Bellevue, Nebraska; nieces and nephews. Visitation with the family, Monday, 4-7 p.m. at Cutler-O’Neill-Meyer-Woodring Bayliss Park Chapel. Funeral service, Tuesday, 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment Ridgewood Cemetery with a lunch following at the Walnut Hill Reception Center, 1350 E. Pierce St. Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society or the Mineola Fire and Rescue Department.
