About	Jim, known to many others as Sam, was born and raised in Council Bluffs, IA and was a graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School. Jim joined the Army and was stationed in Fort Carson, Colorado Springs, CO. After his time in the military, he moved back to Council Bluffs, with his wife at the time, Dianna, where they raised their two children. He worked for the city of Council Bluffs for years as a housing inspector. Jim is preceded in death by his parents, Evelyn Jane Lewis and Harold Tom (H.T.) Lewis, his oldest brother, Thomas Kent (T.K.) Lewis, his sister Susan Lewis and grandson Gabriel Lewis. Jim is survived by his daughter Tabitha (Jeremy) Wood, his son James (Nisha) Lewis, 4 grandchildren, Taylor, Tucker, London and Julian, and many siblings, nieces, and nephews. Jim will be laid to rest at the National Cemetery in Omaha, NE in a private service.
