About	Mary Jane (Lee) Turner, 41, of Council Bluffs died Aug. 15 at her residence after an extended illness. Mrs. Turner was born in Council Bluffs and lived here all her life. She was a member of the Lighthouse Temple Church of the Open Bible; and was a graduate of the Iowa Western Community College School of Nursing. She was a registered nurse at Clarkson Hospital in Omaha until retiring in 1995 because of her illness. Survivors include her husband, William E. Sr.; three sons, William E. Jr. of Council Bluffs (note - stepson), Michael S. and Anthony J., both at home; mother and stepfather, Ethel and Charles Newland of Council Bluffs; two sisters, Jeanne Vaughn of Council Bluffs and Patricia A. Haefs of Kansas City, MO., two brothers, James I. Lee and Thomas A. Lee, both of Omaha; one granddaughter (note - step-granddaughter); nieces and nephews. There was no visitation. Mrs. Turner's body was donated to science at the Mayo Clinic. Memorial service was held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Lighthouse Temple, Church of the Open Bible, 1430 Ave. E., with the Rev. Jerold Morris officiating. Memorials were offered to a trust fund in care of the church. Cutler Funeral Home assisted with arrangements. Obit: Council Bluffs, Iowa Nonpareil August 16, 1996
