Frank N. “Hot Rod” Ruiz, age 81, passed away June 5, 2023, in Council Bluffs.
Frank was born May 12, 1942, to the late Louis and Amelia (Negrette) Ruiz and graduated from Thomas Jefferson in 1962. He proudly served his country in the US Army, and upon his return, he began working at the Veterans Hospital in the Pharmacy Department for over 32 years. Frank married Judith Oliver on May 25, 2007.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by sisters Lucy Tamayo, Bacilia Martinez, and Sally Moreno; bothers Paul, Hank, Victor and Raymond Ruiz.
Survivors include wife Judy and her children Ric Oliver, Todd (Margaret) Oliver, and Lori Redemske; grandchildren Madelyn and Hunter; sister Molly Ruiz; nieces and nephews.
Memorial visitation at the funeral home on Thursday from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m., with Military Honors by Kanesville Riders Honor Guard.
