Alumni Jeanne Morningstar Kent's Book release

On June 29th, a book written by Gilbert alumni, Jeanne Morningstar Kent, class of '66 will be released by History Press. Her book, The Visual Language of Wabanaki Art, is a study in reading symbols and images of art work used by the Abenaki, Penobscot, Passamaquody, Micmac and Maliseet tribes of the Wabanaki Confederacy. Mrs. Kent is enrolled in the Nulhegan Band of Abenaki of Vermont and is a founding member of the Vermont Abenaki Artists Association. She resides in Winchester. Her art work and book may be purchased on her website www.morningstarstudio9.com or at local events at Whiting Mills and other venues. See her web site for scheduled Appearances and book signings.
