| About Me | I retired in December of 2005, not because I didn't like my job, I loved teaching. That must have been obvious. However, after 29 northern Michigan winters I just had to get out. If I would have taught in a warmer climate I'd still be working full time, fifty five being too young to retire. For now I substitute teach about two days a week both in Gaylord and down here in Punta Gorda, FL where we spend the winter. I also still coach the cross country team at the Gaylord Middle School. So when my coaching season is over in Gaylord, about October 20th, we head down here and get back to Gaylord about the 5th of April.
