Of Swartz Creek, age 43, died Thursday, February 13, 2014 at Maple Woods Manor, Clio. Funeral services will be held 1 PM Tuesday, February 18, 2014 at the Plumb-Smith Funeral Home, Rev. Robert Van Kuren officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Hills Cemetery. Sylvia will lie in state at the Plumb-Smith Funeral Home, G-1208 N. Ballenger Hwy., Flint Township, where friends may call 2-8 PM Monday. Sylvia was born in Flint, September 28, 1970, the daughter of Edward and Susan Elder. Surviving are: children, Tasha Elder, Chelsea Lorincz, Justin Stites, and Robert Carsten; seven grandchildren; parents, Edward and Susan Elder; brother, David Elder; sister, Didi Stites.
