| About Me | Attended South Dakota State University in Brookings, SD...attained BS and MS Degrees there...studied effects of Prairie Dogs on Mound Soil/Plant formations at WInd Cave National Park, Hot Springs, SD. Ran Cross Country and Track there...was a 3-time All-American, 1984 NCAA 2nd place at Division II 10,000 meters, and still hold the SDSU 10,000m school record. I taught MIddle School Science, was a Soils Specialist, and currently am employed by local giant General Mills (19 years service included PIllsbury time before 2001 merger). I'm a 12 year MInnesota Department of Resources Volunteer, and also assist with water quality monitoring for the Marine/Carnelian Watershed District. I married an Eden Prairie HIgh School Graduate (1980, Laura) and we have 1 son (Andrew) who's a 2008 Graduate of White Bear Lake HS (3.994 GPA...almost that elusive 4.0!!) and just finished his freshman year at the U of MInnesota majoring in Fisheries Biology. I still run (77,000 miles and counting) and was 3rd at the recent and first Jon Francis 1/2 marathon in Stillwater.
