Rolf Luther Burr Erickson was born in Stillwater on Jan. 24, 1963, to John G. and Elizabeth (Barnes) Erickson. He was a pupil at Oak Park Elementary and Stillwater Junior High and graduated from Stillwater High School in 1981.
Rolf attended the University of Wyoming in Laramie, Wyo., and the University of Minnesota, then spent six years in Hawaii learning the construction and carpentry trade. He settled in downtown Stillwater and was self-employed, doing renovation and carpentry projects.
Rolf was warm-hearted and much beloved by those he tried to help.
Rolf is survived by his parents; his brother Peter; his sister Julia and her husband, Tim Schmolke; his sister Torre and her husband, Tim Valley, and 11 nieces and nephews and three grandnieces.
There will be a memorial service for Rolf at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 21 at the Episcopal Church of the Ascension, 214 N. Third St. in Stillwater. Private burial is at Fairview Cemetery.
