Dennis Lee Trenda
Age 84, of Stillwater, passed away on July 5, 2026.
Dennis is survived by his wife of 62 years, Mary Faye (Dalluhn); his daughter, Denise and Wendy Vie Trittin of Eagan; his grandchildren, Karl Trittin and Samantha VanCura of Maple Grove; Magdalene Trittin and Joshua Milum of Eagan; his brothers, Donald Trenda of Surprise, Arizona; William Trenda of Andover; and Jon Trenda of North Branch; as well as many nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law, and sisters-in-law.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Florence Trenda, and his son, Douglas.
Dennis graduated from Stillwater High School in 1960 before joining the Naval Air Reserve, where he served as an E-2. He served aboard the USS Wasp CV518, throughout the Mediterranean and North Atlantic with stops in eleven countries.
He joined Bricklayers Union #1 and worked for Gresser Concrete and Masonry for 29 years, a career for which he remained deeply grateful. Dennis was also a lifelong, active member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Bayport.
Dennis built his family home in 1970 and loved maintaining it as well as working in his garage. An avid car mechanic, he enjoyed rebuilding a 1937 Chevrolet. Following retirement, he spent his time traveling as well as reading history, thrillers, and mystery novels.
A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, July 12, 2026, 4:00 P.M. at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 490 4th Street North, Bayport, MN with visitation one hour prior to the service at the church. Reception to follow.
