Penny Ward (Walter)

Class of 1973

Penny Ward was a member of the Stebbins High School Drill Team. Upon graduatuion she coached the "Stebbinettes" for 5 years and later was the coach for their rival Wayne Warriors. Penny married to Ed Walter whom she met at band camp in her Senior Year. They have three daughters. In 1991 Penny moved to Eden Prairie, Minnesota and became the coach of the Eden Prairie High School Color Guard and Winter Guard program. Their her teams and perfromance groups were featured at the 1991 World Series game and in January of 1992 her groups perfromed at the Superbowl at the Metrodome, home of the Minnesota Vikings. In 2001 Penny took her love for dance and perfromance to a much higher level. She founded and opened Center Stage Dance Studio in Savage, Minnesota. Penny is now a verry successful business owner and in December of 2011 moved her growing business to a much larger new facility in Prior Lake, Minnesota. Center Stage now has over 400 dancers and a perfroming line competitive company of over 100 perfromers. In July of 2012 the CSDS perfroming lines capped off their most succesfull competitive season ever capturing top honors at the Starquest National Dance Competition with 6 National Group Championship titles.
