Tony R. Arnold, 18, died Thursday, Oct. 17, 2002, in Johnson.
He was born Sept. 16, 1984, to Steve and Kathleen (Bergkamp) Arnold in Johnson.
He was a senior at Stanton County High School in Johnson and was senior class president.
He participated in cross country, four years; golf team, two years; track, one year; HALO, one year; and Scholars Bowl, four years. He was on the Outstanding Student List and was the SCHS light and sound coordinator for all activities.
He was a member of the Sunflower 4-H Club, Kansas 4-H Aerospace Action Experience Team, and participated in space camps. He was a member of Boy Scout Troop 145, where he obtained a Life Scout Rank, was a senior patrol leader and was voted by his peers as Order of the Arrow.
Survivors include his parents; two brothers, one sister, Tracy Arnold; and one unborn sibling, all of Johnson; grandparents, Wilfred and Anna Bergkamp, Colwich, and Earl and Judy Arnold, Johnson; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
* Rosary services will be at 7 p.m. Sunday at Mary Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Ulysses.
Funeral services will be at 3:30 p.m. Monday at the Stanton County High School Auditorium in Johnson with the Revs. Louis Hoang and Glenn Fogo presiding.
Burial will follow at Stanton County Cemetery in Johnson.
Memorials are suggested to the Steve Arnold Family Medical Fund in care of Garnand Funeral Home, 605 W. North Ave., Johnson, KS 67855.
