Yvonne Sue Foster, 64, died Sept. 29, 2005, in her home, South Hutchinson.
She was born Dec. 23, 1940, in Cortez, Colo., the daughter of Virgil Ray and Gertrude Smoot McGowen. She graduated in 1959 from Johnson High School, and attended Business College in Amarillo, Texas. She has been a resident of South Hutchinson since 2004, moving from the Johnson and Ulysses area. She was a bookkeeper for Sullivan Inc., Ulysses.
She married James Foster. He died in 1987.
Survivors include: a daughter, Carrie Foster, Fowler; three brothers, Vernon McGowen, Sayre, Okla., Duane McGowen, Hutchinson, and Joe McGowen, Buhler; two sisters, Juanita Austin, Rawlands, Wyo., and Trudy McGowen, South Hutchinson; and a grandson.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Patty McGowan; and a brother, Raymond McGowan.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Elliott Mortuary Chapel, Hutchinson, with Pastor Willard Stafford presiding. Friends may sign the register book from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday at the mortuary. Cremation has taken place.
