Karen M. DuMont, 74, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Friday, July 28, 2023, at her home. She was born on August 9, 1948, in Fort Wayne, a daughter of the late Harold and Betty (Miller) Wiedman was a graduate of South Side High School. She worked as a telephone operator for GTE. She was a member of American Legion Post 241 and American Legion Post 296, where she was a past auxiliary president. In her free time, she enjoyed being with her family, especially her grandsons. Surviving family includes her sons, Korry (Victoria) and Devin; grandchildren, Drake, Joshua, and Ethan; brother, Rick; sister, Bonnie; and other relatives and dear friends. Besides her parents, she was preceded in passing by her husband, Duane R. “Butch” DuMont. Funeral service will be at noon on Wednesday, August 16, 2023, at Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Road, Fort Wayne, with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be at Concordia Cemetery Gardens, Fort Wayne.
