About Me	Born and raised on East Side of Buffalo NY, my family moved around a lot. Started my education at what was once called, "Dr. Martin Luther King Multicultural Institute School #39", and yes we had to say it like that when asked in the hall on cue. My Mom married for the second time and from there we moved to Okinawa, Japan and lived near the City of Naha which is the Capital of that island. We were there about a year and a half, then my Mom separated from her second husband and we came home. Lived in Cheektowaga NY with my Grams when we got back for a while and went to Cheektowaga Primary Grammar School. I was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis shortly after we came back from Okinawa, Japan. I was about 7-8 years old at the time. From there we moved back to the East Side of Buffalo NY... S. Domedian St., and Bailey Ave (near the original Masters Pizza), just to name a few. We lived in Sloan NY (which is between Buffalo and Cheektowaga) and I went to Woodrow Wilson Grammar and Middle School for about a year or so, then back to Buffalo (Lovejoy). My pre-teen and teen years I grew up in Lovejoy, a neighborhood between the East Side and South Side of Buffalo NY. My condition improved by my sophomore year of High School and that made my teen years wonderful. Living in Lovejoy was one of the greatest times of my life! I had a lot of friends and boyfriends (you know who you are). From Lovejoy I went to live with my real Father for about 6 months thinking it would make my life better but I was wrong. I moved back in with my Mom and Brother and shortly after that we moved to South Buffalo (Hopkins Street). We lived there for a few years but before my family moved out of there, I moved in with my Grandmother back on the East Side of Buffalo (Newburgh Avenue). I lived there for a while then moved back in with my Mom and Brother again. From there we moved to Kaisertown (Clinton Street). My mom reconnected with an old boyfriend, got engaged and we moved to Lehigh Acres, Florida. It was okay there but I missed Buffalo and my family very much. I moved back before my mom and her boyfriend about 6 months later. When I got back I lived with a friend for a while until I could find my own place. My Cousin and I got a place together in Black Rock, another small neighborhood in Buffalo near Kenmore NY. Living there was difficult for me because I was so far from my Mom. She's very important to me. From there I got my own place back in Lovejoy on East Lovejoy Street. I didn't live there long before I ended up in my first Nursing Home for 2 months. I could still walk at the time but not for long. When I left that nursing home I moved into an apartment building on Central Avenue in Lovejoy. About 1-2 months later I had 2 Grand Mal seizures and ended up back in the same nursing home for 9 months. After the seizures my muscles and joints became contracted and could no longer walk. While in my second last nursing home I met the man that would become my fiance', Vincent Dawson. In February 2011 I was finally released for good and we moved in together (back to the same apartment building I had the seizures at in Lovejoy). We've been living here happy together ever since and on February 14, 2014 it will be our 5 year anniversary. We're hoping to move out o...(read more)
