About Me	After high school, I enrolled at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. Was there for two years, made great friends but felt restless and in need of something else. Bounced around quite a bit; a few years at UW-Stevens point, UW-Marinette, even back to SM for awhile. Finally landed at University of Minnesota where I graduated with a BA majoring in Fine Art and English. I met my husband, Chris, in the Electrical Engineering Department, where he was studying for his Master’s and I was finishing up my degree while working full-time. Job highlights for me were costumer/stage manager/actor at Theatre on the Bay in Marinette, WI; editor at Communication Resources/Agricultural Extension service, St. Paul, MN; self-employed desktop publisher; Marketing Director at Just For Me Spa in Stillwater, MN. For several years I created hand-blown glass pieces I sold in a gallery in Stillwater. Family highlights are my husband, married for 39 years; our two great sons, ages 36 and 38; our grandson born in 2021; our granddaughter born in 2023; and many dogs and cats over the years. Travel includes visits to over 30 states; ski trips with our kids and their gals (not me—I hang back at the condo watching movies and baking!); living in Sweden for one year as part of Chris’ work with 3M; travel to Venezuela, Norway, Denmark, Germany, Austria, Canary Islands, Ireland, England, Canada and Mexico. Retired now, we spend our days at our cabin near Osseo, WI, walking with our dog, Benny; bird watching, gardening and en...(read more)
