This is the first I heard of Bill's death. He was a friend and classmate from elementary school (the old Hawthorne School) to High School. He was always interested in science, technology and machines and he suggested many science projects to our teachers including trying to make our own radio receivers. He also had a big vocabulary right from the start. If he had a question for the teacher, even in second grade he'd raise his hand in class to say "I'm perplexed ....."
