| About Me | I have received my undergraduate and graduate degrees from MTSU. Also, I have done the following: 1. I was nominated by Norm Dicks of the Congress of the United States House of Representatives to compete for an appointment to the United States Military Academy. (Date: January 28, 2000) 2. I was nominated by Norm Dicks of the Congress of the United States House of Representatives to compete for an appointment to the United States Naval Academy. (Date: January 28, 2000) 3. I was nominated by Norm Dicks of the Congress of the United States House of Representatives to compete for an appointment to the United States Air Force Academy. (Date: January 28, 2000) 4. I was admitted into Washington State University on March 7, 2000 for the Fall 2000 Semester. 5. I was admitted into Tacoma Community College on May 2, 2000 for the Summer 2000 Quarter. 6. I received High Honors at Tacoma Community College from the Winter Quarter of 2001 until the end of the Summer Quarter of 2001. High Honors means the following according to Tacoma Community College: Students who earn 12 or more TCC graded college-level credits numbered 100 and above (excluding “S†and “Uâ€) in a quarter with a grade point average of 3.66 to 4.00 will be placed on the quarterly High Honors List. 7. I have been on the Dean’s List many times. 8. I received the Enrichment Scholarship for the 2002-2003 academic year. 9. I received the 2003 Joe Ramsey Leatherman Award, which is a $500 scholarship given out by the MTSU Sociology and Anthropology Department. 10. I received the Marion Clark Scholarship for Fall 2004, which is a $1,000 scholarship given out by the MTSU Social Work and Sociology and Anthropology Departments. 11. Governor Gary Locke gave me a certificate, which said the following: In recognition of your outstanding academic achievement at South Kitsap High School and in honor of the valuable contributions you will make to the state of Washington, I Gary Locke, present to you, Stanley Lacy this certificate for WASHINGTON’S PROMISE SCHOLARSHIP to support your pursuit of a college education in Washington State. In Testimony Whereof, I have set my hand and caused the Seal of the State of Washington to be affixed in Olympia, this 3rd day of October, 2000. Gary Locke, Governor 12. The Governor of the State of Washington congratulated me on my selection as a Washington’s Promise Scholarship recipient. (Date: November 9, 2000) 13. I was a presenter at the 12th Annual Tennessee Undergraduate Social Science Symposium, which was held on November 19-20, 2003 at Middle Tennessee State University. I received a Certificate of Participation from the MTSU Department of Sociology and Anthropology “in recognition of outstanding scholarship and professional development.†27. I am a member of MTSU’s Sociology Club. 28. I am a member of ETA of Tennessee’s (i.e., MTSU’s) chapter of Alpha Kappa Delta (AKD), which is an interdisciplinary Sociology Honor Society. 30.
