Joanne passed away at home surrounded by her husband, John, and 2 daughters, Jess and Meghan. Joanne fought breast cancer bravely for over 24 years, and during that time she helped me through my own diagnosis and recover while enjoying some wonderful years with her family.
It was very hard to say goodbye to my oldest and dearest friend. Lovely gathering at the funeral home, after which John took Joanne's ashes for one last ride in her beloved convertible. Later, a gathering at their home in Dublin, Ohio, allowed some catching up with other alumni, including her brother, Rick, and Sue Solomon, who are now together.
