I served for five years on active duty as a Marine Corps Intelligence Specialist. In December 2011, I deployed to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom and was awarded a Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal for my accomplishments throughout that 12 month deployment. Following my return from Afghanistan I was sent to Okinawa, Japan where I participated in multiple international strategic exercises designed to bolster U.S. relations with allied militaries. I will be completing my time as an active duty Marine in 2015 and intend to further education in the health and medical sciences field.
