SFC Louis Diaz enlisted in the Army in 1986 in Vicenza Italy.
He served as a Chemical Specialist in 71st Chemical Co. S/D from 1986-1990 at Schofield Bks HI and was a Company NBC NCO for 4/87th INF from 1990-1993 at Schofield Bks HI.
He also served as the Bn NBC NCO for 1/39th FAR (Airborne) from 1993-1994 at Fort Bragg NC.; Computer Plotter for G-3 NBC 18th Airborne Corps from 1994-1996 at Fort Bragg NC; Chemical Weapons NCO/ Inspector Escort NCO for On-Site Inspection Agency from 1996-1998 at Washington DC; Weapons Specialist from 1998-2000 at Defense Threat Reduction Agency at Washington DC; National Capital Region Senior Response Team Leader for Delta Co United States Army Technical Escort Unit from 2000-2003 at Fort Belvoir VA. He is currently assigned to Science and Technology Far East Center in Japan as a Technical Representative on NBC and Soldier Systems.
SFC Diaz military education includes Basic Training, Advance Individual Training (54E), Primary Leadership Course, Airborne School, Air assault School, Basic Noncommissioned Officers Course (54B), Technical Escort Course, Battle Staff Course, Advance Noncommissioned Officers Course and Special Operation Support ASI-S.
He has earned a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science from American University.
