Phyllis (Lissa) Hammond
AUBURN - Phyllis (Lissa) Hammond, 55, of Auburn, passed away November 10, 2024 at Auburn Community Hospital. Born in Auburn, NY, she was the daughter of J. David and Frederica (Davis) Hammond. Phyllis was a 1987 Skaneateles High School graduate and a 1989 graduate of SUNY Brockport where she received her degree in Early Education.
She enjoyed spending time on or near Owasco Lake, whether boating or picnics at Emerson Park. She looked forward to her time with her family and liked cooking for them whenever possible. Phyllis had a fierce love of animals. She often adopted a dog or cat and gave them the unconditional love and attention they deserved.
She is survived by her loving parents; a sister, Julia Hammond; a niece, Muriel Allen; a nephew, Rory Allen; and a brother-in-law, Charles Allen; and a long time special friend, Mike Robillard. She also leaves behind her beloved dog, Sully and cat, Stella.
She was predeceased by her grandparents, Carl Davis, Phyllis and Carl Herrling, Dr. J. David Hammond, Sr., Daphne Hammond and an uncle, Jeffery Davis.
