Richard Henry Herrmann, 40, of Skaneateles, passed away unexpectedly on April 4, 2024. Born in Auburn in 1984, Ricky graduated from Skaneateles Central School in 2002 and attended Cayuga Community College. He had been employed at Kinney Drugs and most recently at Tops in Skaneateles.
Ricky loved playing golf, bowling, and all Syracuse Orange teams. He enjoyed music and attending concerts, especially the Dave Matthews Band. He will be remembered for being a quiet, thoughtful friend with a wonderful dry sense of humor that will be missed. The sudden loss of our little brother Ricky is beyond heartbreaking. We pray that he knew how special he was to the many people that he touched during his all-too-short life.
Ricky was predeceased by his parents Robert and Virginia Herrmann of Skaneateles, as well as his nephew, Brett Colvin.
Surviving members of his family are sisters Debbie Colvin (Jeff) of Fort Myers, FL, Kathy Jensen (Jeff) of Fort Pierce, FL, brother Bob Herrmann (Sherry) of Elbridge NY; Aunt Mary Ann Hochrein of Rehoboth Beach, DE; several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Services in Skaneateles will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the ALS Association Northeast, 1300 Wilson Blvd., Suite 600, Arlington, VA 22209.
